World War I and its Legacies

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, the Center for European Studies and the Center for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia will be hosting a weeklong teacher workshop for Wisconsin K-12 teachers titled "World War I and its Legacies".

International Children's & Young Adult Literature Celebration - Muslim Journeys

WIOC's International Children's and Young Adult Literature Celebration is back! The theme of this year's celebration is "Muslim Journeys" exploring Muslim cultures and societies throughout the world. Attendees will also have the opportunity to break out into smaller discussion sections during the 1-day workshop, to explore topics related to the theme, these sections will be led by UW faculty and students, and community members.
